A Matter of Perspective David FieldDecember 13, 2010
People seem to need to analyze everybody; put them in categories. It is called profiling. It is viewed today by churchgoers that anyone partaking in certain activities are outside the church and so are heathen. Then there is a certain code for those that are the type to go to church. It is further believed that going to church is the way to serve the God they know.
This is all a matter of perspective. The puritans are thought to be a very exclusive group. You would be severely judged by them for unbecoming behavior, like Christians today, only worse.
But let’s take a look at the different perspectives. If Christians were to celebrate the heathen practice of Christmas, you’d be thought of as a devil worshiper, and you’d be run out of town or worse by the Puritans, Now the Puritans did drink alcohol, so what would a Christians think what of that?
