Why Ask God to Guide Your Footsteps When You Aren’t Going to Follow? David FieldNovember 4, 2010
Most Christians will not follow any further than their preacher leads. So much praying in vain. This is not following Christ; this is following a man. No man is responsible for your salvation. No man was put in position by God to be between you and Him. But Christians are taught they must be "accountable" to men. Who teaches this? The men in the equation of course, those looking for self-exaltation.Don't give me that old time religion from the dark ages, and I'm not talking about new age either. Yahushua is leading onto higher ground, the eternal path, the path of all-time. I am talking about the original path, the path Abraham followed. If this were the "age of grace", Abraham wouldn't have had a prayer. There was a woman once who saw something of God in me, and wanted some of that, so she asked me to meet with her and her husband regularly. I agreed as long as my friend would attend also. But then she asked her preacher, and he put a nix to it. He said there would be no accountability to the church leadership in it. This preacher wanted full control of the parishioner’s soul, but with no power to save it. This is whom Yahushua called “wolves in sheep’s clothing”. These preachers are so deceived they don’t even know it. They have also fallen victim to the false teachings in the world’s church system. There is a vast difference between the world’s church system, and the bride of the Messiah. Sadly, this woman followed the false church system instead of the thirst for the water, the Spirit of God. Another one taken down. I wish it weren't so, but I have no control over others decisions.
Why do people put their faith in other men, instead of the Holy Spirit? Is it just more comfortable? I remember striving for acceptance in the churches. But I wasn't accepted unless I would blindly follow their teachings. I was torn because God was leading me another direction. It did hurt when I was separated from them. People don't want the pain. It's just like when you take the bandaid off. Just take it off and get it over with.
Isaiah 29:13 Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw nearmewith their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:
Matthew 15:9 But in vain they do worship me, teachingfordoctrines the commandments of men.
Matthew 23:9 And call nomanyour father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. Normal 0 This means no man is your spiritual leader. And don’t bring up the words of another man that came after Yahusha to change the word of the Most High God. No one trumps Yahweh.
The children of Israel clamored for a King, and even though He wanted to be their only king, He suffered them one, cursed them with one. They wanted a government run by men, a king and his staff. They looked upon the world system and desired that for themselves. Christians are still doing this today, for lack of understanding. Mortal man is not designed to withstand the temptation of power, and so should not be put in this position. The first king of Israel fell to this temptation, and the second stumbled greatly. Power corrupts the corruptible, which is all men.
