Christians have difficulty grasping the law of Yahwah God because the understanding of the bible, as translated into modern English from the original Hebrew. These two languages are as different as is the culture, and mindset. It was the Greek so called thinkers that first contrived the idea of abstract reasoning that has permeated the entire western culture. The Hebrew language reflects the mindset of absolutes that deal with the five senses. Love is the action required to ensure the survival, gain, and comfort of another person. Faith in the Hebrew is the action required to be in obedience or to act in accordance to the person, thing or belief that is trusted. A faithful horse always pulls the plow, you can count on it, and expect it as a natural occurrence. These words are indeed action words in Hebrew, but in the Greek western mindset, they are thought to be emotion. Emotion is actually worthless in and of itself, does nothing for anyone.
For this reason, most of the bible scriptures, no matter how many years of study, the true meaning goes right over the head of the western mind. Passages can be read and nothing gleaned even though the reader believes he understands the words on the page. Even a word study will not render the full correct original meanings. You must first understand the thought process and the way the words were used. And a through study of the Greek language to gain an understanding of the New Testament is just as futile. This religion was brought to the world from a Hebrew culture. There is strong evidence that at least most of the New Testament was first written in the Aramaic language, which is akin to Hebrew, the language spoken by the Jews in the day of Yahshua (Jesus).
When a Christian thinks of the word “law”, it is not unreasonable to think of our civil laws.Christians pass right over these scripture thinking of themselves as law-abiding citizens of the world. They may pride themselves in the obedience of the civil laws and the moral laws, but give no regard to Yahwah God’s laws. The word that was translated to “law” in Hebrew was “Torah”. The Torah was revered by the Israelites, or at least the faithful ones. Remember the word “faithful”, meaning the ones that obeyed the Torah, the law of Yahwah God. The Torah is literally the first five books of the modern Christian bible, as recorded by Moses. So everywhere in the bible that the word “law” appears, a better understanding would be achieved by replacing it with the original word, “Torah”.
Another reason the Torah law is disregarded is the mistranslations of the Apostle Paul. When Paul said, the law that was against us is done away with. He was talking about the charges of the law. The charges have been dropped because of payment of blood on our behalf. That does give anyone permission to continue to transgress the law. It means your penalty has been paid. One cannot expect forgiveness without repentance.
Revelation 14:12 (KJV 1611) Here is the patience of the Saints: Here are they that keep the Commandements of God, and the faith of Iesus.
Where are the commandments of God recorded? In the Torah. So this verse should properly read in today’s understanding: “Here is prove of the true saints: they that keep the Torah of Yahwah God, and are faithful to follow the teachings of Yahshua the son.”
What are the commandmens of Yahwah God? For starters ALL TEN commandments that he wrote in stone with his own finger, as originally given, not changed in any way, including the seventh day Sabbath. Jesus is not your Sabbath in so far as you can ignore the commandments of the Father. Yahshua is your “shabbat”, the word in the original, meaning rest. He never said he was your seventh day Sabbath. No commandments were nailed to the cross. The charges against us were nailed to the cross.
Matthew 5 17Thinke not that I am come to destroy the lawe or the Prophets. I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. 18 For verily I say vnto you, Till heauen and earth passe, one iote or one title, shall in no wise passe from the law, till all be fulfilled. 19 Whosoeuer therfore shall breake one of these least commaundements, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdome of heauen: but whosoeuer shall doe, and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdome of heauen.
When Yahshua said, “I am not come to destroy (the law, or do away with the law), but to fulfill, to add myself and my voice to it. He also said he only brings the words of the Father. He does not come to change anything. He brings no new word.
Matthew 22 37Iesus sayd vnto him, Thou shalt loue the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soule, and with all thy minde. 38This is the first and great Commandement. 39 And the second is like vnto it, Thou shalt loue thy neighbour as thy selfe. 40 On these two Commandements hang all the Law and the Prophets
When Christians read the above passage, they like to stop at verse 39. This is artful twisting of the scriptures. Read on to comprehend fully what he was saying. He said all the other commandments hang on these two, meaning if you obey these two, you will have to obey the rest. If you do not wish to obey, then you do not love the Father. Yahshua is not telling you to get emotional about Yahwah, he is telling you to act in accordance with faithfulness, basically to do what he says you should do. The law of Yahwah is not a burden. The law of Yahwah brings an automatic blessing. Why would anyone knowing this wish to pass this up? Now that you know the truth, you can begin to be blessed by it.
John 5:19 Then answered Iesus, and saide vnto them, Uerily, verily I say vnto you, The sonne can doe nothing of himselfe, but what he seeth the Father doe: for what things soeuer he doeth, these also doth the sonne likewise.
