Does It Matter What You Do? David Field April 28, 2011
There are many that would argue what a person does, has no reflection as to what is in the heart. What you do is no indicator whether you are following the Messiah, whether you obey the commandments of God (Torah) or not.
When two women were presented to King Solomon both claiming one baby, he had to decipher what was truly in each woman’s heart. He accomplished this from outward action. Your outward action is a direct result of your inward heart. One woman’s inward desire was a true love for the baby and it’s life. The other only wanted the baby for herself. With a quick test the evidence of the heart was blatantly obvious.
I’ve heard it said so many times, “I am not going to hell for worshiping on Sunday, I worship God everyday”, or “it doesn’t matter that Christmas and Easter were originally pagan holy days, we are now worshipping God in them.” This is what the Israelites claimed with the golden calf in Exodus 32, “Let us have a feast unto Yahwah”. Yahwah is no more pleased with your idolatry today in Christmas than he was with the golden calf then. Many of you are living in denial of whom you serve. You say, “I love Jesus”, even though you observe paganism with every Sunday church service, and with every pagan holiday, every time you eat pigs, and every time you work on the seventh day Sabbath. The contents of your heart are displayed by your action. Faith is an action.
Are you faithful to Him? Or do you make excuses? I could receive many arguments from Christians quoting new teastament verses claiming that the law has been nailed to the cross, or that obeying the Word of Yahwah is trying to earn your salvation, and so on. We know that it is the blood of the Messiah that saves, but the evidence of your salvation is your faithfulness. To think the Word of God given in the original Torah (the books of Moses) was changed is a misunderstanding of new testament scripture, and is the heaping up of teachings for itching ears, only the hearing what one wishes to hear. I have provided in other articles true interpretations of the new testament that agree with the actual Word of Yahwah God. All scripture must agree or the author is a liar. Scripture does not trump scripture, and Yahwah God does not change His mind as to what is right, and what is not. And Yahwah’s laws of nature did not change at the cross. A pig is still unclean. Wrong is still wrong. The truth is not subjective.
Your outward action is a reflection of your inward heart. You say you can observe the pagan holidays, because God looks at the heart. Yes He does see your heart, and he knows your heart by whom you obey. You are not obeying Him when you observe the pagan holidays. He is not fooled, even though you are fooled about yourself. You have fooled yourself about your own heart. He knows you better than you do. You should listen to him in everthing, even or especially in matters of your own heart, rather than your own flawed reasoning. To say you love him and even to tell yourself that you love him is only empty lip service, when you forsake him and what he tells you to do in your life.
When a parent tells a child not to touch fire and the child does anyway, that child is not trusting the parent, not believing the parent. Even if that child were to say he believes, it would not be true from outward action of touching the fire to check. The child would still be burnt. The protection was in the obedience. Yahwah created us with a free will. He will not stop you, but He offers you his warnings just as a parent would offer a child a warning to save them.
Modern western society, birthed out of pagan Grecian culture has over time conditioned people to think they do not have to be subordinate to anyone. Rebelliousness is increasingly ramped in this world today. Wives are no longer subordinate to husbands, children no longer honor or obey parents. And as a result, women are being abused at a horrible rate. This family structure and the example of a marriage was given to us as an example of our relationship with Yahwah God. I realize this would be an unpopular stand to take even in a Christian church, but many times in the bible, the relationship of a man and a woman in marriage is paralleled as Yahwah God’s relationship with His people. I am in no way saying a man is better than a woman. Paul says, there is neither male nor female in the kingdom of heaven. And don’t forget men are to serve their wives as the Messiah serves His bride in sacrificing his own life for her.But does anyone think they are equal with Yahwah God here on earth? This would be the "New Age" religion, as in "We are all god. We do not identify with the parallel given in scripture, and thus do not fully understand it, and take it to the depths of your heart. You must live it to know it. If we can grasp life here on earth in the way it was intended by the creator, we can better relate to our master in heaven, and incidentally live a happier life while we exist here on earth. The answers are all in the Torah, the laws of Yahwah God. Living according to His plan brings true order, brings peace, brings happiness, brings blessing, and a blessed live all around. There is an automatic blessing from above when you obey the commandments of Yahwah God, the blessing in the Torah. It was a blessing that He gave his instruction in the Torah to us.
This life is a preparation of the life to come. The feasts times were given as a shadow of the things to come. Yahwah decided for us to fully understand His kingdom, and be among the brides who are ready, we must live it and play it out here on earth. There would be fewer prayers needed to go up to heaven for physical, financial, emotional healings and everything else if we would just do what we are told in the first place. But daily we ask God to fix the results of what He told us not to enter into, just like that child would run screaming to it’s mother with a burnt hand. What is the mark of your hand? What is the action of your hand? What will you set your hand to do?
